Driving
Parents today realise that if they want their teenagers to pass the modern driving test and be a safe driver they need to have driving lessons from an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI).
In 1935 learner drivers did not have an ADI to guide them through their driving test. See what Gov.Uk considers are their 10 top facts about the history of examining drivers.
- ADI‘s are professional driving instructors who have to pass special driving tests before teaching learners and then are regularly assessed to make sure their driving and coaching skills are up-to-date.
- ADI’s are encouraged to improve their teaching and coaching skills so that their pupils not only pass their driving test but go on to become safe drivers.
- ADI‘s can also help experienced drivers up-date their driving skills. How confident are you that you could control a skid on ice?
- All ADI‘s have to prove they are competent ADI‘s but some are more skilled than others at helping their learners understand how to be safe drivers.
